If you are looking to learn more about the permanent makeup process and whether it's the right option for you, you've come to the right place!
Permanent Eyebrows are a great way to enhance your natural brows or even create the appearance of brows when you do not have any. With several different styles to choose from (such as powder, combo, and microbladed brows) you are able to customize the best look for your skin type, face shape, and desired brow appearance. This is all done through an extensive measuring and drawing process.
Permanent eyeliner is a great way to define your eyes, create the illusion of a different eye shape, and even make your eye appear larger. Top and/or bottom liner will be pre-drawn to your satisfaction to achieve your desired look. Designer liner is subject to additional fees. At Pure Radiance, we use a double numbing process and start each eyeliner application with a 45 minute pre-numb and then continue to apply additional numbing throughout the application.
Permanent lips, lip liner, and lip blush help to define the lip, correct its shape, change or darken its color, and give the face a more lively appearance. Permanent lips range in color from natural pinks and mauves to dark reds. depending on your desired appearance and how natural you want it to look. At Pure Radiance, we use a double numbing process and start each application with a 20 minute pre numb and then continue to apply additional numbing throughout the application.
Powder brows are a great option to achieve a soft and powdery brow look that resembles a brow filled in with pencil, powder or other brow products. Despite common misconception, powder brows are NOT harsh or blocky. Powder brows are great for individuals who have a slightly more filled-in look or for individuals with oily skin and/or enlarged pores.
Combo brows are a combination of both powder and 3D brows. Combo brows can be performed a few different ways but are typically done with hair strokes in the front of the brow and powdering at the tail end of the brow. These brows are the best of both worlds and last longer than other types.
3D or "hair stroke" brows give the most natural and realistic look but are high maintenance. They are ideal for people with normal to dry skin with little to no wrinkling or scars. You might hear them referred to as feather brows, microblading, other other names. Using a manual hand tool, hair strokes are etched into the uppermost layers of the skin, creating clean, hair-like effect. 3D brows require touch ups every 6 months due to the shallow depth the pigment is implanted.

Permanent lash enhancement is a thin style of eyeliner that simply fills in your lash line with to make your lashes appear both thicker and darker. This can be done to both the top and bottom lash line although it is most commonly done to just the top lash line. At Pure Radiance, we use a double numbing process and start each eyeliner application with a 45 minute pre-numb and then continue to apply additional numbing throughout the application.

Ashley, our permanent makeup artist as seen on the right of the screen, received an advanced education in permanent makeup. While tattooing and permanent makeup is not regulated in the state of Idaho, her education meets federal guidelines in those areas. She is also a licensed aesthetician and has intimate knowledge of the skin and how to properly treat it while implanting pigment.
With proper annual touch ups, you will wake up looking amazing and fresh every morning. However, if you get tired of the look I helped you achieve, the retention will fade gradually over time. For powder brows, combo brows, eyeliner, and lips, a touch up is recommended every 12-18 months depending on your skin type and care of your permanent makeup. Microblading needs to be touched up every 6-12 months due to it's shallow implantation.
I will help assess and determine your candidacy at your appointment as well as help you select the style of service that will best suite and compliment your skin type, lifestyle, facial structure, and permanent makeup goals. Individuals who are over the age of 75, use blood thinning medications, or who have transferable blood diseases such as HIV/Aids are not candidates.
Your comfort is a top priority so I use numbing solutions during all of my permanent makeup procedures including a double numbing process for the eyes and lips as they are more sensitive and swell more easily.
The permanent makeup process is done using a rotary style tattoo pen with sterile, single use needles. I use carbon based (also known as organic) pigments/ink. I use these pigments because they stay more true to their color as they age, stay darker for longer, and tend to move around less in the skin.
Your PMU appointment will include not only the initial application of permanent makeup but all of the necessary aftercare instructions and products as well as a complimentary 4-8 week touch up for maximum retention.
Permanent Makeup is not only a great way to save time, it also helps you save money. Let's break it down. Say you taking 10 minutes every day to fill in your brows. That's 61 hours annually you are spending just doing your eyebrows! On top of that, you might go through one eyebrow pencil every month or two. If you are using an expensive brand, that could be $130-$240 per year you are spending on brow pencils. WOW. Permanent makeup saves you a lot of both time and money, plus you then have one less thing to stress about. AND if you ever want to enhance that look, you can always add makeup on top of it for a special date night or event. Who wouldn't want to save time and money like this?
